Opening Days for White Mountain Attractions | Thayers Inn

We are approaching Opening Days for White Mountain attractions the family will want to visit this spring and summer. Thayers Inn in Littleton NH hopes to provide travelers with comfortable, affordable lodging in New Hampshire that is conveniently located near many of these adventure spots. Because you’re going to want to spend this precious time with loved ones actually enjoying the attractions instead of driving the whole time just to get there.

The late winter snow kept the NH ski resorts happy and busy, but we can count on the annual melt to clear the way for popular New England vacation destinations. Soon — weather permitting — some of the biggest White Mountain attractions will transition to summer mode, first on weekends, then opening to the public daily.

Here’s what to look forward to as you plan your upcoming trip to the White Mountains:

Attitash Mountain Resort (Bartlett)

Summer activities begin on weekends May 26, then daily from June 16-September 3. The new ZipTour Adventure consists of two zip lines spanning across two mountain peaks. They host a Mountainside Summer Music Series on Saturday afternoons from July-September. – 775 Route 302, Bartlett 03812

Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway (Franconia Notch)

Daily summit trips open daily (9am – 5pm), May 26 – Oct. 15. They’ll wrap up the season on October 14. – Cannon Mountain Aerial Tramway & Ski Area, 260 Tramway Drive, Franconia, NH 03580

Clark’s Trading Post (Lincoln)

Opening May 26-28 and June 2-3 and 9-10, then daily on June 16. Their summer season will wrap up on September 3. – 110 Daniel Webster Highway, Lincoln, NH 03251

Cranmore Mountain Resort (North Conway)

Summer activities start on weekends open (Weekends, 10am – 4pm): Memorial Day Weekend – mid-June; Labor Day – Columbus Day.

Open (Daily, 10am – 5pm); June 17 – Labor Day. Scenic Chairlift: last chair to summit runs 1⁄2 hour before closing., then open daily from June 16-September 3. Rides include the Mountain Coaster, Summer Tubing, a Giant Swing, the new Knockerball, Spider Mountain, Bungy Trampoline, Climbing Wall, Kids Rope Course, and Soaring Eagle Zip Line. – 239 Skimobile Road, North Conway, NH 03860

Hobo Railroad (Lincoln)

Weekend trips along the Pemigewasset River start May 29 (Sat. May 27 & Sun. May 28, 1pm & 3pm departures.

Open Fri., June 23 – Sun., June25 (1pm & 3pm departures).

Lost River Gorge (North Woodstock) and The Flume Gorge (Lincoln)

Loon Mountain (Lincoln)

Summer mode on weekends starts May 27 – October 15., then daily on June 16. Climb high in the Aerial Forest Adventure Park, zipline over the Pemigewasset River, or ride on the scenic gondola skyride. – 60 Loon Mountain Rd, Lincoln, NH 03251

Mount Washington Auto Road (Gorham)

2-Hour Guided Tours and Drive Yourself Tours: May 13 – Oct. 29. Special events may affect hours on certain dates so it is best to call ahead or check their website. Mount Washington Cog Railway (Bretton Woods)

Open year-round, seven days a week (trip length dependent on current weather conditions). Reservations are highly recommended. The juried 2nd Annual Handcrafted in NH Fest will be July 14-15, while the 3rd Annual “Railway to The Moon” Steampunk Fest is August 18. – 3168 Base Station Rd, Mount Washington, NH 03575

Santa’s Village (Jefferson)
