FUN ON THE WATER
Spring and summertime are about staying cool in the heat. What better way to do that than to have some fun on the water? Whether it is swimming, tubing or taking a canoe out for some sight-seeing, our White Mountains Inn is in a great spot for finding something near H20.
Swimming
In July and August, our heated outdoor pool is open to our guests. We also have an indoor pool that’s available year-round so you can swim laps even if there’s snow on the ground outside. If you’re venturing out into the area, you can check out the White Mountain Aquatic Foundation, a three pool, multiple use aquatic center in North Conway. They offer lessons and recreational programs with the water temperature kept at 83 degrees.
Boat/Canoe/Kayak
Conway Lake is about 20 miles south of our Inn. The meandering Saco River is roughly twice that distance. These waterways are great for tubing, canoeing, kayaking, or paddleboarding. Rentals are available (with shuttle service to and from the Saco River and Conway Lake) from Northern Extremes Canoe & Kayak in North Conway. You can enjoy a lazy float down the river or paddle a canoe. Saco Bound Outdoors in Conway is another great option for outdoor enthusiasts with canoe rentals available.
Sight-Seeing
Closer to our inn, you can enjoy the beautiful waterfalls and covered bridges that are typical of our corner of New Hampshire. No trip to Jackson is complete for couples without visiting the famous Honeymoon Bridge. No honeymoon necessary.
